Meh, I don't find it beautiful myself. The idea of a red/orange sky and grass isn't really my idea of beautiful. That and they are really fucking close to those suns, it's got to be hundreds of degrees there, and being that close probably no atmosphere....but there's grass and trees. I just don't see it.

I don't pretend to be an expert on this but I've heard a few theories.

One was that the timelords reset the Master's regenerations and revived him for the time war. I can't remember if this was in an audio book or in the series or what.

Another was that yes the regeneration limit was imposed and regulated by the Time Lords. No Time Lords would mean no regeneration limit.

Other theories that include regeneration in general include that River may have given the Doctor extra regenerations in Let's Kill Hitler. I've seen some people that believe that the Doctor wasn't joking when he said he could regenerate 507 times in Sarah Jane Adventures (I highly doubt he was serious, either that he really has a limit or that he doesn't, but I doubt the limit would be 507).

That's all I can think of off the top of my head and I'm pretty sure that it didn't answer your question. Anybody else have any interesting theories? Or a counter to any I presented?

I have no problem with Moffat's writing, however I would like for one more season before I judge his tenure. The rumors of this season being much less focused on an overall story and featuring more one parters may give some people a different view of Moffat's writing.

People always talk about the Doctor being a kind soul that would never hurt a fly and yet here he damns 4 people to living hell for an ETERNITY. That's cruel. I think it's a good thing the Doctor doesn't forgive everything and chose not to be violent a cruel all the time, it makes him a much more interesting and dangerous character.

In 2009 there was one SEC team seeded ahead of us in the tournament. In 2008 there were 2. I never said I was arguing for a single year. There was a 3 or 4 year stretch where we were competing for the ACC title. I don't see how it's a stretch to assume we would be in the top 3 or 4 teams in the SEC. Hell in 2011 there were only 3 SEC teams seeded ahead of us. Maybe you could make a case that us losing in the first round perennially isn't a good mark, but it's not like the SEC is the mark of tournament greatness.

So yeah, I don't think I'm far off base here.

I said 2 years ago. In 2010 there were 3 teams in the SEC that were higher ranked seeds in the tournament than us. Kentucky at 1 Vandy at 4, and Tennessee at 6. I think it's arguable that we could be top 3 or 4 in that conference two years ago.

I agree that NOW we don't, but I never said that we were now.
