I've always thought the SIS/MI6 building at Vauxhall Cross was fairly brutalist in its architecture.

You mentioned Newton and Darwin, if you like sciencey things then as well as the science museum in Kensington there is the Royal Institution Museum which has original items used by Faraday and RI members.

Freemasons' Hall is an incredible building, probably the nicest art-deco building in London. I used to work nearby and I went on a few of their public tours. It is definitely worth a visit when in the area.

I wondered the same myself. I'd always thought that Bulluans were used more for prayer than cursing. This article references both uses, and there's a decent piece about bullauns here.
