Not my story, but my sister's story:

In the summer before second grade my sister was on a trip to Washington DC with my parents. They got her a new dress for her to wear on that trip. They spent a day going to some of the Smithsonian museums.

One of their stops was the Natural History Museum (one of my favorites, too). They were roaming around the dinosaur fossils and, if you remember the lay out in the early 90's before they remodeled everything, but they had a long cat walk on the second floor where you could look down on the skeletons and get higher vantage points. My sister ran ahead of my parents and bumped into an a little Korean girl (I should note that my sister is Filipino). That little Korean girl was wearing the same exact dress that my sister was wearing. They exchanged pleasantries and "I love your dress! It's just like mine!" They giggled at their coincidence and said their goodbyes.

Fast forward to the beginning of her 2nd grade year back in WV, that little Korean girl was in the same homeroom as my sister. Best friends ever since.
