The NFL's best duos by Jabukein nfl

I dream of the day that Suh and Fairley become one of these tandems.

Alex Smith throws another NFC South QB under the bus to make a point by BonerInSweatpantsin nfl

It's hard to pin down. I mean, being able to better your opponent in a shootout is a significant advantage, but just being able to put up yards when you are behind obviously won't always save you. The top passers, in terms of yards, are some of the more successful QBs in the league, so it's tough to argue with that too.

Every producer ever. When you are making that many beats, no one is going to love all of them. I can't think of a single producer who is batting anywhere near .1000.

Toughest division in Football? Why? by baltimoresportsfanin nfl

I'll try to say this without sounding like an asshole, not sure if it will work.

What big time opponents did the Bengals prove their ability against?

The Ravens also showed some serious flaws against weak opponents.

The Steelers were the most consistent team in the division.

I don't think you can ignore strength of schedule. It's the reason the AFC North sent 3 teams last year, and health providing, the reason I think the NFC North will send three teams this year.

He's not wrong. I've seen it come up at least a dozen times this offseason.

I will assume you are talking about going into 2012 as opposed to historically.

We've had this conversation a million times(hyperbole) but I'll just assume you missed them. I will also assume from your username that you kind of wanted to talk about how great the AFC North is. I can understand, I like to talk about the NFC North too.

The way I see it, the AFC North is the best defensive division right now, the NFC South is the best offensive division, and the NFC North is the most well rounded.

NFC North teams led the league big time in turnover differential and point differential. Were 2nd in overall offensive yards and while they ranked relatively low in overall defensive yards, it can be effectively argued that they favored giving up yards for the possibility of turnovers. They also faced a relatively difficult schedule last season against a mediocre AFC West and strong NFC South, unlike the AFC North who faced off against the still weak NFC West and crumbling AFC South.

The worst kept Bears secret is out: Johnny Knox likely out for the season due to his recovery from being snapped in half. by Guhondain nfl

If Bennett can step up as #2, they are still a pretty good WR corps. Not like Lions and Packers good, but good.

r/fantasyfootball, I know the people in my league and QB's are going to get taken very quickly. I have a low draft pick. What is a better bet: Taking Matt Stafford and hoping someone falls to me, or using a first rounder on a RB/WR and grabbing Andy Dalton as my starter? by Sacram3ntin fantasyfootball

[–]sosuhme 0 points1 point ago

I love me some Stafford, but even in a 12 man league he shouldn't go in the first round. I don't like QBs in the first round anyway, but especially not a guy with only one full season of health.

I'm fortunate that I get to keep him in the 3rd round of my 12 man PPR league, where we can keep 1 player 3 rounds ahead of where they were taken the previous year.

[Poll] Do you think Peyton will last through the Season? by Bad_Sex_Advicein nfl

[–]sosuhme 1 point2 points ago

I think you are absolutely correct. Depending on which games he misses, general wear and tear injuries could cost them wins, and playoffs.

Yeah, I don't imagine they'd be so fortunate with their opponents collapsing again though.

Should the Lions trade for Mike Jenkins? by heyyoukidin detroitlions

It would make me happy, but I'm trying not to let our secondary issues bother me and trust in Mayhew.

Texans' Andre Johnson out 3-4 weeks after scope on knee by Heelincalin nfl

[–]sosuhme 0 points1 point ago

That wasn't intended to be a diss to the Titans, although I will say I am rooting for the Texans to finally pull it together. Once they've had a chance to go deep in the playoffs I'll be happy to see someone else take their turn.

[–]sosuhme 1 point2 points ago

I get that the OL is part of the offense, but I don't think that's what most people are referring to when they say that. I think they are referring to the skill positions.

[–]sosuhme 1 point2 points ago

Again, Hanson + Graham + Vanden Bosch + OL. Our secondary is very young, our backfield is young, now our receiving corps is young if Broyles plays this year, and aside from VDB, our DL is young.

It's not. I have seen that reaction many times before though in regards to charitable acts.

I guess I'd suggest that they were already recognized. This is just recognizing something new. Suh was even mentioned as one of the leagues most charitable players last year, or some such thing.

I don't know who the scholarships are for. If that's the case then yes. My reason for being this way is probably due to a lack of trust in academic institutions.
