I saw him 'fight' in Sydney 2 nights ago. The ref stopped it after 12 seconds in round 1.

To be fair it was a premature stoppage, but damn he's a joke these days.

Not that I'd tell him in person though :)

You need to do a experiment. Don't have any sex for 7 days. He is not allowed to masturbate at all during that time. Not once.

Then on the 8th day have sex. If he can come easier - then he has death grip

If he still can't, then that's just the way he is.

I don't even know how this would work physically? When I'm in my girl it feels tight - I can't comprehend how another one would go in there!!

Get a professional. And no I don't mean a seedy hooker - but a high class escort. That's what we did, best choice ever.

Wedding Disaster....anyone done any worse?? by Ardalin photography

the weather sealing is designed for light rain and dusty environments. it's not a ikelite underwater casing :)

source - I dropped a 1Ds mk3 + a 200mm f/2 completely underwater and though both survived, they both needed to be pulled apart and thoroughly cleaned - water did get in.

Zooms vs Primes Expectations by Ro-bearBerbilin photography

I'm using 5d mk3's and 1ds mk3's. Yes I do use high iso when needed but i also have large album sizes (i.e. 14x14" or 16x16")and large wall enlargement sizes in mind - 6400/12800 iso is good stuff, but i wouldn't want the client to pick a big enlargement from one of those files yet. Your dynamic range also drops at higher iso.

I don't get the same issues with the 85. Yeah the af is a bit slow but for me at least it's very accurate - unlike the 50/1.2!. I have no probs grabbing candids with it. Often I have it on a body at the reception and use it there, for things like reactions to speeches. I typically get away with using 800 iso here so the files are clean, and get great isolation at f/1.x

The 85mm gets used in a church for the same reason. Clean files, good subject isolation. I'll take that lens with me to my grave!

Lately I've been playing with auto iso. Set minimum shutter speed to what the circumstances are - but usually 1/125, set aperture to say about f/2 and let the iso get managed by the camera. That way I'm always at the lowest possible iso to get the best files. These modern toys are good stuff.

Zooms vs Primes Expectations by Ro-bearBerbilin photography

A low light wonder it is. There are many, many churches I shoot in (weddings) or location shoots late in the day where f/2.8 simply won't cut it to give you usable shutter speeds. The 85 is a incredible lens. I'd like it to be better with AF as well, but that said i don't have a problem with it.

Zooms are good, and in certain lines of work are better than primes - if you shoot a lot of moving stuff. But I feel as a wedding guy that having 2 cameras with 2 primes on it that I generally get a better result. For example in the morning at the brides house I'd have the 50/1.2 on one and the 35/1.4 on the other. I do use the 70-200, but usually at outdoor ceremonies such as beach/parks etc. - for the rest of the day, the primes are what I prefer.

Are we expecting a Canon EF 50mm 1.4 mark II anytime soon? by Apostrophein photography

you don't need to stick in the canon camp. Zeiss make a 50mm which although manual focus, makes the canon feel like a toy.

How do you select what to include in your albums...? by choobakkain photography

[–]sejonreddit 3 points4 points ago

put them in lightroom or aperture

go through them. add 1 star rating to the ones worth keeping.

Then go through the 1 star ones only and put 2 stars next to the better ones.

Repeat these steps up to 4 or 5 stars and then upload just those ones.

Less is better.

no longer the case? My 200mm f/2 begs to differ. It destroys everything, including the 70-200 mk2 (which i also have).

I love the 70-200 mk2, it's a incredible bit of glass. I never liked the mk1. But ease up there before pronouncing that all prime lens aren't sharper. The 70-200 mk2 made me sell my 135/2 which i no longer used after buying it, but I'm not selling my 85/1.2 - that thing is the low light wonder.

the 5d's are horrible to handle and use compared to the 1Ds, but the files are better.

depends on the quality of light in the reception for me. if it's very bad i might bounce, but if it's ok quality (i.e. evenly spread) I'd personally prefer very high iso (i.e. 3200/6400) over thinking about flash and recycle times.

Exposing to the right? by lexbuckin photography

[–]sejonreddit 3 points4 points ago

well, a easier way before you get your head around manual is just use exposure compensation when in aperture priority mode and add say +0.3 or +0.7 EV - that'll push the histogram to the right.

Anyone encountered 'pro' photographers with head-scratchingly odd technique / gear? by cleh1in photography

look in general i agree with you - but don't get hung up on enlargement size. I printed many, many shots larger than that from a Nikon D1h (2.7mp) back in the day, and they looked fine.

Noticed that too :) I'm a wedding photog and rarely use flash indoors. I typically use the 35/1.4 and crazy high iso. The results are stunning, and I routinely get bewildered looks as to why I'm not using a flash. Even more so when I might have the flash mounted in the hotshoe in case i need it, so it's turned off and they think 'your flash didn't go off' :)

Many relationships that end go back for a little bit more - before the final "permanent" break

It is rarely a good idea.
