TROPHY CASE

I almost passed out when I saw this anti-rape device. by zetratein WTF

If a woman wanted to do this to a man she hated it would be somewhat easier to just stab him in the dick with a knife.

I'd say it's in the style of a minimalist screen printed poster, very similar to old Saul Bass posters .

There's actually been many riots in the UK throughout the 80s and 90s, to name just a few: The Brixton riots in 1981, The Poll Tax riots in 1990 and the Bradford/Manningham riots in 1995.

Not strictly true - 750,000 people marched in London against the war in Iraq in 2003 and there were no riots, in fact Scotland Yard were quoted as saying it passed "almost without incident"

From an artist: Fuck Spotify - If the artists aren't getting paid I'll stick to sending money directly to them or piracy by cbazwonkiin technology

[–]lovebandit 0 points1 point ago

Yes but Spotify takes away the possibility of generating revenue through the content alone in a way that radio doesn't. 10 years ago if I heard a song that I like on the radio I'd go out and buy a copy, now if I hear a song that I like on spotify, I just press rewind...

I don't think Spotify is comparable to the radio though. When you listen to the radio you have no control over what song is played and you'll only hear a song (at most) a couple of times a day. Spotify is music on demand, so you pick what you listen to and you can listen to it as many times as you like, it's exactly the same experience as listening to a song in iTunes, but instead of the song being stored on your hard drive it's being streamed over the internet. I've paid for Spotify for the past couple of years and this is exactly why I love it so much.

What are your best "holy shit" moments from video games, where a game completely blew you away? by lovebanditin gaming

Yeah I've heard lots of people say the riding into Mexico bit in RDR before. Might buy it at lunch today as this has just reminded me how much I want to play it.
