Home should be a place where you accept people for who they are even if you don't see eye to eye. By this, I mean your mother is under no obligations to see the world the way you see it.

You're nearing adulthood and are going to have to learn to pick your battles because the fallout only increases as you get older.

You sound like a practical fellow, and must know that having a baby now would wipe out any ability to own a home, travel or do anything remotely self-indulgent.

It's possible that your gf is not taking these things into account. Perhaps you should make clear to her that you want to have a well-rounded life together, where you both get to enjoy your life together as a couple, because once there's a 3rd wheel.... you two are going to be living a different life.

If none of this matters to her, consider yourself warned.
