Ft worth Zoo is one big loop. You can walk it, see everything. They have also added some shows that might be worth the trip. The only great thing about the Dallas Zoo is you can feed giraffes. The newish giraffe pen has a little hut right next to it where you can buy treats for the animal. You get to stand right over the pen, and the giraffe will come up and eat right out of your hand.

Dallas World Aquarium is well worth your time. Again, built like one big loop so you start at top, and work your way to bottom, seeing most everything. If you find yourself in Grapevine Mills, you can skip that aquarium. They have changing exhibits, but it feels very cramped and when I went (after it first opened) there was not very much. I have not been since, but my fiance and I were not very impressed.

While I was a student, the problem was always funding. "Where is the funding coming from? We can't get it from the state, we'll have to raise tuition." That was the problem from my time at ASU (06-09). It was like that every year. Now the state of Arizona magically found $60 million to give to ASU? Where was that money while I was attending?

The only answers you should ever give to why your left is "Better opportunity" or "Company lay-offs". You're new potential employer can not ask why your previous employer why you left. They can only ask if you worked there and for the time that you claimed you worked there.

But the whole point of Weyland-Yutani was to bring the Xenomorph back to earth to basically try and make it a weapon. And doesn't Firefly/Serenity take place closer to the year 3000? I thought the whole run of Alien took place close to 2100.

Ah. Well sorry for being a little judgmental.

I grew up in California, knowing full well that the waiters got minimum wage plus tips, but also knowing that they pay a lot of state income tax on what they make. Was wrong of me to assume that Oregon treats their servers like California does. I see it as either done the way it is in California or Texas.

No state income tax in Texas. The state gets it's revenue from sales tax and car registration. While I have no problem paying federal income tax, I don't want to be taxed twice on an income. I want to keep as much of my money as possible.

You also pay state taxes on it. In Texas it's 2.13/hour but no state taxes.

To deal with 4chan, YOU DO NOT SINK TO THEIR LEVEL! As a mod of a site that used to be raided by 4chan, the only way to get them to stop is to appeal to the admins. It takes a while, but they make it clear to the boards that even mentioning going off to do a raid gets your banned.
