Why I Troll SRS: A Manifesto by trolling_for_skankin antisrs

[–]cojoco 1 point2 points ago

if I was too stupid to know that being nice to people who surround me is very beneficial to me.

How about being nice to people because it's enjoyable in its own right?

That would be BB I assume.

You hate the people who hate racism

How come you guys are always bringing "hate" into the conversation?

This is the first time in this thread that anyone has talked about "hating people".

Basically you folks go under 'low-hanging fruit' :V.

Yeah, because we're all obviously shitlords here, right?

Even the feminists.

I'm supposed to believe that my post, which was at +7 last time I saw it, and is now below 0, has nothing to do with an SRS coming into the post? Really? I don't buy that at all.

Don't jump to conclusions.

There are many weirdnesses about voting here, and speaking as an old-timer, it's not as simple as you think.

Just suck it up, and assume that the system works, on average.

Otherwise you'll spend all of your time chasing phantoms.

Better luck next time is my advice.

have linked it nowhere else in accordance with the moratorium policy.

Hey, what's this moratorium policy?

Is that the one against advertising the existence of aSRS ;) ?

[–]cojoco 1 point2 points ago

Okay, so you modded SRSD before it went all AA-like.

I only started here just as the AAs came into their ascendancy, so my knowledge of ancient history is limited.

No, I agree, but there are well-intentioned people who wish this.

SRS user posts nice story about Anti-SRS user gifting them Reddit gold. In response A-Farrah groundlessly accuses BB of encouraging doxers. by bardanin antisrs

this subreddit is dedicated to nothing more than hating a certain group

Hard as this is to believe, I actually don't hate anybody on Reddit.

I don't know ... if you're interested in changing Reddit culture, then, despite all of its faults, SRS is the biggest and most visible group to join.

[–]cojoco 2 points3 points ago

Despite everything, some of them are well-intentioned.

However, I don't believe that is true of any of the AAs.

most circumcisions aren't religiously based

In my day most WASPS were circumcised, which is definitely not religion-based.

I pretty much never moderated in SRSD

Does that mean you were a potential AA, or was that after your time?

  • SRS claim disdain for the whole of Reddit, as they believe it is full of poop
  • SRS claim that they only want a safe space for minorities
  • SRS completely disavow attempting to change Reddit culture, as they believe it impossible
  • Yet SRS actively seek out the worst shit on Reddit, wallow about in it all day, and fling it about
  • Then they target and humiliate individuals.

  • SRS claim to be supportive of feminism
  • However, SRS are actively supportive of censorship and are generally sex-negative
  • This gives them more the morality of conservatives than liberals, which is pretty much anti-feminism

And the one explanation someone gave that was a wall of text was needlessly complicated.

What I found funny was the pithiness.

The wall of text detracted from that somewhat.

The context was the headline:

What are your favorite things to do with friends that are cheap, easy and instantly fun?

  • Given something that is cheap, easy, and instantly fun, what's your favourite one to do with friends?

  • All of them

A response that almost works would be:

All of them

But that doesn't, quite.

Pointing out a truism, in an extremely pithy way, is funny, as it sort-of demolishes the length of the headline.

At least I thought it was funny.

And it could be an allusion to that Laurie Anderson song, "Let X equal X"

It would have been better if he had said the "set of all things that are cheap easy and instantly fun is equal to the set of all things that are my favorite things to do with my friends" [he could not say it] in notational form in a few seconds.

Question for the self-admitting karma whores (the other post was deleted, not sure why). by ROBERT_FAGGOTin TheoryOfReddit

[–]cojoco 3 points4 points ago

Having a link which resonates and shoots up gives me a bit of a pleasant buzz.

But it's not the reason I'm on Reddit; I don't chase karma.

But then again, I don't stick around in communities that consistently downvote me, either.

Yippee, let's do an SRS Gift Exchange! ... nope, everyone hates us too much :( by cojocoin antisrs

[–]cojoco[S] 0 points1 point ago

When the leak who claimed to be multiple people got access to SRSHome with contains some personal shit? They posted here.

Huh? That wasn't doxxing.

You all claim you hate doxxing but you're encouraging it and throwing down a whole lot of "Hohoho, but they brought it on themselves! /smug".

This is the whole victim-blaming argument, and we know exactly where this is going to go, except that instead of a woman walking alone at night, we're talking about a subreddit whose mission is to mock, humiliate and shame people.

So please, let's stop that argument now, because it isn't going anywhere.

why does one SRSer who was pretty well condemned for doing that (and they apologized as they posted before seeing he was suicidal and serious) get to represent all of SRS? Serious question.

TBH, neither the apology, nor the repudiation, were particularly serious IMHO.

I haven't seen anyone encouraging, laughing at or smugly suggesting it would be your Just Deserts if any of you got doxxed.

Well, that's partly because the mods here don't censor the more repugnant opinions. However, that was not my intention in posting this link.

When you have a pseudo/pre hate group blaming a community you are a part of for shit you didn't do that encourages violence and stalking against women and Feminists? You don't do a gift exchange. It sucks.

I find it amusing that whenever I suggest that many of the problems affecting feminists and MR-types are identical, I usually get shot down in flames (usually by MR-types, I admit).

The stupid shitfights you get into are puerile, and your actions only encourage them.

Now that "encouragement" is of a different order from "wearing slutty clothes", because the good people at SRS explicitly lie, pick fights, humiliate people, refuse to give credit where credit is due, censor, ban, silence and oppress people.

That's some of the righteous indignation behind posts such as this one which suggest, just possibly, that SRS need to pull their socks up.
