the time between the writing of books of the Bible is just about Martin's time table

TIL Bill Nye only has a Bachelors of Science by uhFedExin todayilearned

Bill Nye teaches science to children, not college students. He's not a professor, get over it.

It's 00:05 in Northern Germany, I'm listening to some blues radio station, smoking a cigarette. My dog is snoring. Describe your current setting & include the time! by vivakyussin AskReddit

What is your "never again" brand, item, store, or restaurant ? by radbrad7in AskReddit

After Avatar, I stopped watching movies in 3D. Nothing without a specially created digital world needs 3d.

Naples, Florida is America's Naples!

Is there a website that tracks what manufactures are doing in terms of reducing package sizes while keeping prices the same? Latest example: I bought Natures Valley Granola bars and they have reduced the package from 8 bars to 6 - a substantial price increase. by z_impalerin AskReddit

[–]Wizardof1000Kings 13 points14 points ago

Nature Valley boxes have been 6 bars where I live for as long as I can remember. I'm on the east coast of the USA and they've been 6 bars for well over a decade.

Reddit, Why Am I Not Able To Get A Job? by Novastranain AskReddit

[–]Wizardof1000Kings 0 points1 point ago

Finding a job is tough man. It might not be anything you're doing wrong, just a hard time to find a job. One suggestion is to see if you can find one on campus, where since you're a student they might overlook the dwi.

but you apply to maybe 20 med schools at most. Job seekers apply to hundreds, if not thousands, of jobs.

[–]Wizardof1000Kings 1 point2 points ago

Actually, you're wrong. I take it you haven't applied for a job recently, because the online apps for places like wendys and mcds require resumes now. I suppose you think you could go into one of those places and hand in an app. Well if they do bother to have a paper application still, as soon as you hand it in and leave, its going into the trash.

they've been common for the past 5-7 years, but from what I've seen its only in the last 3 years or so that every company uses them

I actually prefer mailing applications. Its just changing a few words in my cover letter and printing out a bunch of stuff I have ready to go. If only it were that easy everywhere.

I feel like I'm not smart enough and that I'm going to flunk out of college. Does anyone have any words of encouragement/assurance/advice? by coffeywithaYin AskReddit

[–]Wizardof1000Kings 1 point2 points ago

I felt that way every day in college. I made a C my first semester - in a class that was supposed to be easy, which even reinforced it in my mind. I ended up graduating in 4 years with a 3.5, which while not stellar, still got me into grad school. I was an AP student in hs too. Ap Chem and Calc were just as tough at the time I took them as anything was in college.

Plenty of people go to college w/out APs, you're probably well ahead of them and it will really show when you're in a classroom with average students. You aren't going to fail out.

big boobs are supposed to be hot in the US, but I can't stand them if they're too big. Also fake boobs, I do not get.

Americans like more pages. Longer books sell better in the US. Its why Rothfuss' Wise Man's Fear had so much filler.
