All I would ever ask a loved one is that they don't overdo it. It does actually affect you developmentally.

I never had to use the dryer sheet method, but the way I've heard it described is that you stuff a bunch of drier sheets in a paper towel tube and exhale through it when you smoke. Blow it out the window as it may still stink, and use a towel to cover the bottom of your door.

There are two general species of cannabis used for smoking. Indica contain higher levels of secondary cannabinoids which give you a sleepier, body buzz kind of high. Sativa strains contain higher levels of THC, generally giving you a more "heady" mental high. Most, if not all, strains are some kind of hybrid combo. It's sort of the same as the way that there are several types of tomatoes, but they're all still tomatoes.

I hate being this guy, but... am I the only one that thinks ents shouldn't be giving smoking advice to minors? If we expect people to accept the scientific facts about marijuana that support our side we should probably acknowledge the facts that don't support cannabis use, which in this case include the fact that smoking at or before the age of 16 really does increase one's likelihood of cannabis abuse (twice the use rate, and three times the quantity of weed smoked later as adults). If you can wait until you're out of school, I'd say you should. Not that the OP asked...

Given that I still want you to be safe from the harm of incarceration more than I care if you smoke, though, I'd say you should get a solid piece that you can use, an air-tight stash box (I just use a mason jar) and a good hiding place. If you can get somebody to buy you a MFLB that would solve many of your problems as it has little smell which will keep you from getting caught in many ways. Don't smoke in the car, don't smoke and drive, change your clothes before you go home to your parents, use the drier sheets in a paper towel tube method of getting rid of the smell, buy some Ozium air freshener, and get some Rhoto V. Ask your friends to hook you up with their dealer, they won't think you're an idiot, if promise. Enjoy and be safe.

I don't mind so much if it's on something really informal like pj's or something, but whenever I see it in public I just sort of think it's a little classless. They might as well run around yelling "Wooo! Lets get fucked up!"

Try a vape. If you're smoking J's, try sucking the smoke into just your mouth, letting it chill for a second, then open up and inhale regular air with the smoke. If you like glass I'd suggest a bubbler or a bong to cool the smoke. I don't have any advice for a pipe other than to blacken your lungs up a bit by just smoking more. That last part sucks, though, as nothing ruins a good buzz like a burnt throat.

I used to work at a 24 hour convenience-type store and a lot of people, truckers usually, would come in and buy Primatene Mist which is used for asthma. It's basically straight epinephrine (adrenaline). Same deal I guess. It's a bit more expensive, but I don't know it's per use cost.

I like you. I know r/tees hates to hear anything negative about pot, but the truth is that it can be a negative thing if one overdoes it. I know some people that are high from the minute they wake til the minute they sleep every day, and I just sort of feel sorry for them. I honestly just don't understand how being fucked up all the time can be seen as a good thing. I feel like trees should be something to change up the grind and give me some perspective.

I love trees; I use them several times a week, but I view those that are constantly stoned like I view those that are constantly drunk or popping pills- ie out of their own control, and not adding something to their reality, but replacing it. I'm ready for the downvotes now.

By the way, I think a better saying is "everything in moderation, including moderation." You need do things excessively and ascetically sometimes in order to appreciate moderation.

I would just say that they aren't "their dead." They are public figures being honored by the public in the form of a government organization (some oranization affiliated with UHP. I can't check right now). The reason this lawsuit was brought was to ensure that those who weren't mormon or christian could have markers which relflect their beliefs, so not only are they not "their dead," they aren't necessarily being honored the way they'd want.

Look, slippery slope arguments aren't necessarily fallacious, which is what you're implying I think, and if you'd read my response with some thought you'd have noticed that I didn't say that "If this keeps happening it'll just get worse and worse until the world blows up!" I said that if the Supreme Court ruled in favor of this it would opened up new jurisprudence to be tried in court, and with this there would be new cases trying to push the bounds of it in an effort to define its parameters. These parameters of what constitutes constitutionality are often or usually determined when somebody steps beyond their understood bounds in some way and is challenged. This is what happens in courts, like in the US, where precedent is practiced. I just stated that I'm happy with the result of it ending where it did.

Also, I don't want others to not be represented, and wanting to be represented myself doesn't mean that others don't get to be. Not wanting the state to determine for everybody what religious iconography is appropriate for roadside viewing isn't selfish, nor is telling the religious majority that they can't force it upon us a removal of their representation, it's a culling of their monopoly. I think we actually can attempt to make our representation equitable which is what I'd like to see.

And, get over myself? I'm not the one saying that the whole idea of some group wanting to assert their rights through what is supposed to be a fair and rational institutional discourse "stupid," nor am I the one that thinks anyone who disagrees with me is flat out wrong and needs to "reassess their priorities" because, geez, how could anybody think that religious freedom is a debate worth having.

Get the fuck over yourself.

Just because you disagree doesn't make the issue stupid. I have a problem with this, and I feel my priorities are well assessed.

I agree that in daily life these crosses are of little consequence; however on a larger scale they are symptomatic of issues which need to be addressed. First, the cross is not without particular symbolic meaning which, in itself, I, personally, find reprehensible, and not something with which I would wish to pay homage to troopers whose lives had been lost, and as a citizen I would like to see my state represent me. Second, the state currently advances this symbol and it's meaning over all others- something the state has no business doing, which is why it was deemed unconstitutional. Somehow I doubt you or others would be this complacent if the state were run largely by Muslims and were allowing crescents and stars to be erected like 12 foot billboards across the state's highways. If one really needs reminding of why our society expelled religion from our governance, I would suggest a little research.

The religious often try to press the bounds of the law in an attempt to exempt their beliefs from the constraints of the law because they view these beliefs as innocuous or benign when they fail to see that the issues they take with other religions are the same issue others take with theirs. The reason this decision is important is that it removes the foot that the religious are trying to force into the door of governance. Had the SCOTUS decided that it's okay for states to place religious symbols, and preferring the iconography and symbolism of one faith over another, one can bet that the next time around the stakes would be slightly higher as well as the time after that until a line was eventually crossed and determined. This is how we get our jurisprudence and constitutional interpretation. I'm glad that they determined this to be that line rather than something more extreme.

I don't think it's in this article, but a quote from another I read on the case sums it up extremely well for me.

Edwin Kagin, the National Legal Director for American Atheists commented on why Christians should support the decision, “The attitude that the cross is not a Christian symbol should be repugnant to all of those believers who believe it to be a sign of the son of god having died on a cross to save everyone who believed in him and that, as he conquered death, so will those who believe this story conquer death. That is what the crosses are to them.”

Or... The idea that that cross is anything but a religious symbol should be rejected by Christians and non-Christians alike as its very meaning is derived from the its religious pretext. Without Jesus, the cross means nothing, therefore the symbol of the cross is inextricably tied to religion and promotion of it.
