I don't think people would smoke more if weed was legal.

By the same logic ending a life also destroys potential suffering.

And you'd also have to remember that it can cause suffering to others as well.

Let rephrase my previous question then: So to terminate someone else's existence is not wrong as long as nothing conscious suffers in the process?

Is it also wrong to eat an animal if there is no suffering involved?

What hard truth does Reddit need to hear? by TheJungleVIPin AskReddit

The drugs would be cheaper because most of the price you pay for a drug is because of the risk the seller needs to undergo to bring the drug to you, the actual cost of making is very low. And if they were cheaper, the need for addicts to rob pharmacies would diminish greatly. And even if addicts would rob pharmacies in bigger numbers than they do now, would that come anywhere near the amount of crime that the drug mafia is committing?

In a perfect world people would be able to use these drugs without becoming addicted to them and just have the fun they can provide. I have tried almost all the drugs there are and I am addicted to none of them, recreational use is possible with any substance.

It won't stop them from being addicted, but it also won't increase the amount of people that become addicted. And legal drugs would be cheaper and easier to get, so the stealing would diminish as well.

Legalizing all drugs will:

Further our freedoms. Destroy drug mafia. Empty our prisons. Bring economical benefits. Make drugs safer.

The regulation of drugs would be just like it is with alcohol now.

Every drug should be legal. It is my business what I put in my body.

Business owners should be able to discriminate against anyone they please, just like I have the right to kick anyone out of my house for whatever reason.
