Piggyback: Time Warner is decent for internet, but there aren't really any other options. As for satellite, I'd check into Dish or DirecTV before getting TWC. TWC's technology is inferior and you can get a lot more for your money with satellite. The only thing to consider are the discounts for "bundling" TWC services.

YES YES YES Appalachian State beating Michigan is still one of the best days of my life. Michigan was supposed to be a National Championship contender that year. For those who haven't seen the highlights, it was an amazing football game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA_zeMCnlWY

  • Alt+0176: ° (degree symbol)
  • Alt+0160: ©
  • Alt+0188, 0189, 0190: ¼ ½ ¾

I don't really know what your point is. Charlotte is the "Queen City," but that didn't start in the late 60's. We've always been the "Queen City," because we were named after Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Streilz.

Also, I've never heard anything about "gays migrating" to Charlotte in the 60's. Also, Charlotte's population was nearly entirely native-Charlottean until late 1980's, when we had our banking boom.

In addition to MacMullen, the Little Sugar Creek Greenway runs from The Metropolitan to Park Rd Shopping Center. My wife and I also enjoy riding on sidewalks and streets through Myers Park, Dilworth, and the Carmel area. It's completely legal to ride on sidewalks in Charlotte, as long as you're roughly outside of the 277 loop.
