Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon

May Allah (swt) reunite you both in the hereafter.

You're a good son and I write these words with tears in my eyes thinking of the dedication you showed your mother.

May Allah (swt) showers you with his mercy and grant you heaven -- continue to strive in his path.

In parallel, pray for your mother, do Hajj on her behalf, offer charity on her behalf so that Allah (swt) raises her ranks in the hereafter.

If I can be of any help to you, please PM me.

Ameen Ya Rabb!

I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry. Insh'Allah, I'll do as I can to raise her ranks.

Don't be sorry bro - you're a kind soul.

May the Blessings of Allah be upon you and your mother. May she rest in peace, and her soul be sent to heaven or a peaceful place while she awaits her trial and May Allah go easy on her during her trial and give her glad tidings, blessings and forgiveness. May Allah forgive your mom's sins as well as yours.

Thank you so much for being a good son ... and taking care of your mom at her time of need. I am sure brother that you are a man destined for heaven and nothing less.

Ameen Ya Rabb! Thank you for your du'as.

I don't deserve such kind words. Though I am grateful for your du'as.

Yes, I do understand about His trials and tribulations. I try not to cry and weep, yet I feel somewhat empty.

I do wish for her to be rested and satisfied, given mercy from questions and sufferings.

may Allah grant her paradise and reunite you in paradise when it is time.

note: the prophet (pbuh) did not send al-fatihah to the deceased, rather he made supplications for them (du'a).

  • "And the foremost to embrace Islam of the Muhaajiroon and the Ansaar and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allaah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success" [9:100]

  • "(..) He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected" [sahih muslim, book 18, hadith 4266]

wa 'alaikum assalaam

inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon.

ameen to the du'aas.

a convert friend of mine got married into a Muslim Indian family last year. His father-in-law passed away yesterday. I thought this thread might somehow be about that. heart sank even more reading about what you've been through.

our hearts and prayers are with you. you did well and are a model for many of us.

May Allaah make things easier on you and reunite you with your family in jannatul firdaws without questioning/reckoning.

[–]Ailurophile[S] 1 point2 points ago

I am far from being a model. Merely a son who misses his mother.

Ameen Ya Rabb...

From Allah we come, to Allah we must return.

May Allah forgive her sins and grant her Jannah. God willing, things are made easy for you and your family.

That was a beautiful post, and you sound like a wonderful son.

Ameen Ya Rabb...

Thank you for such kind words, but I am far from a wonderful son. Merely a son.

Inshallah the windows of Jannah are opened for her in her grave and Alhamdulillah you've gained one of the greatest gifts as the door of Jannah lies under the feet of your mother.

[–]Ailurophile[S] 0 points1 point ago

I can only hope and pray to have been bestowed such a gift. Ameen.

I'm sorry for your loss brother. I lost my mother 3-weeks ago, so I know where you're at emotionally. Of course I'll make dua for your mother and for you that you might cope with her loss.

I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for making time for make dua for my mother and I.
